Terms & Conditions for Renting an E-scooter

Reservations
You can make reservations for e-scooters through:
• Our Call Center +31(0) 70 381 18 91
• Our location Amsterdam Centrum
Pick-up and return location
• You can only return the e-scooter within opening hours of the location, where the e-scooter is rented
• The driver is responsible for the e-scooter until the vehicle is returned and checked in, with corresponding documents for agreement, by an employee of the Europcar location where the vehicle is picked-up
• You need to return the e-scooter at the location where it’s picked up. One-way rentals are not allowed.
Rental period
• You can rent an e-scooter by phone for at least one day. This is equal to 24 hours.
• You can also rent an e-scooter directly at our location Amsterdam Centre for half a day (4 hours) if the e-scooter is available at that moment (walk-in).
Necessary documentation
Don’t forget to bring the following documents with you when you picked up the e-scooter. All documents should be on name of the main driver. Europcar reserves the right to check all the data:
• A valid driving license or ID-card
• The driver must be 21 years old and must be in possession of a valid driving license
• Drivers with address in the Netherlands need to hand over an address identification in the appearance of a bank- or giro transcription, pay slip, a summary of the population register, or a transcription of your (mobile) telephone contract. All these documents must not be older then 30 days
• International drivers need to be in possession of a Credit Card for payment and warranty.
Please note! A double identification is obligated; also for additional drivers.
What do you rent?
• The price of the e-scooter is included Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Waiver (TW), unlimited mileage and lock
• Standard Own Risk amounts € 750,00
• Standard Own Risk can be reduced as of 23 year to €375,- by paying a daily charge
• The standard warranty for e-scooters is € 750,00
• The price of e-scooters is excluded complementary insurances like additional driver(s)
• Driver is obligated to pay for a Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
• For scooters it is only permitted to drive in a radius of 30 kilometres around the Europcar location where the scooter is rented. The possible costs that will be made when picking up the scooter for brake down or returning the scooter to the location Amsterdam Centre outside this area will be charged on the driver.
• Wearing a helmet is not obligated because the maximum speed is 25 kilometres per hour. You can rent a helmet for €5,00 per day per helmet (with a maximum amount of €50,- per helmet per rental period)
• Europcar reserves the right to reject a rental request for scooters without prior notice.
Payment
• Drivers with a street address in the Netherlands can pay by: Debit Card, Credit Card or cash
• International drivers can only pay by Credit Card.
